Recently, we have dealt with the physical address also called MAC Address (Media Access Control) which is a 12 digit code with which you can identify each network adapter Ethernet or Wifi connected or in our personal computer.
Through the MAC Address can we ensure greater security to our local network for example by permitting access only to specified MAC addresses, etc.. E possible to easily change the MAC Address through the connection manager Network Manager (for more information), or alternatively we can use macchanger-GTK.

Macchanger is open source software written in Perl and Glade, able to manipulate the MAC addresses of network interfaces with ease thanks to an intuitive graphical interface. Use macchanger-GTK is easy, just run the software from the menu, select the network card Ethernet or Wifi and enter a new MAC address and click on “Change MAC.”
