OpenMediaVault
In recent months, we have presented a number of projects to create a dedicated Network Attached Storage (NAS), a device connected in a local network or the public through which we can access and share your files remotely.
To provide an excellent NAS for the home or professional are the OpenMediaVault project, a Linux distribution based on Debian 7 Wheezy with Nginx with dedicated tools and applications can provide a complete NAS stable and secure.
After months of hard work there is a new version 1.0 Stable OpenMediaVault, a new version that includes a complete and revised web interface with which we can better manage both the distribution and our files and directories.

Among the main features of OpenMediaVault find the version for both PC that ARM device as Raspberry Pi, Cubieboard, Cubox, etc. and the ability to include hard disk / memory with the most popular file systems such as ext3, ext4, btrfs, VFAT, JFS, XFS. Note also the opportunity to access our files and systems through the most popular protocols such as SH, FTP, TFTP, NFS, SMB / CIFS, etc. RSync can also scan through ClamAV antivirus etc..
Note the option to enter the various hard drives connected and the system in stand-by mode and the ability to include many new features to the NAS via third-party plugins.
