Texmaker is an open source, free, easy to configure, cross-platform and modern graphical application implemented in Qt and designed from the ground up to act as a capable LaTeX editor.

To Install Texmaker 4.4.1 on Linux Ubuntu 14.10 utopic unicorn, open a new Terminal window and bash (get it?) in the following commands:
64 bit :

sudo dpkg -i texmaker_ubuntu_14.10_4.4.1_amd64.deb
32 bit :

In case “dpkg” indicates missing dependencies, complete the installation by executing the following command:
sudo apt-get install -f
To Install Texmaker 4.4.1 on opensuse 13.2, open a new Terminal window and bash (get it?) in the following commands:
